    I know the SWC is probably better then the octopus, although it is a solid skimmer also.

    Take a look at the Precision Marine, AquaC and the Euroreef's they are very very good- I wish I would have gone that way. I have several friends running SWC, they like them but say they are a tad pricey.

    They are. For the money you would spend on a skimmer, you can buy just as a good a skimmer for a fraction of the price

    you get what you pay for. There are good budget skimmers but they can't touch the best. Seven and octos are very solid performers with solid materials at a very reasonable price point. Square in the middle.

    I really like SWC, I run their Xtreme 160 on my 75 and that thing is a beast. I don't run the cone though, I run the standard cylinder body one. But I freaking love it.
