So I am really needing an upgrade on a more efficient skimmer, and these 3 listed below are my choices. Any personal experience with them and any other comments are welcome!
    I have a 90 gallon bowfront with a 20L sump with an anticipation of a medium bio-load.

    1. The Vertex IN-100 Vertex IN 100 In-Sump Protein Skimmer http://www.aquacave.com/vertex-in-100-in-sump-br-protein-skimmer-2505.html

    2. The SWC BMK 150 http://www.saltwaterconnection.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=148

    3. Reef Octopus 6" Pinwheel NWB150 http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/reef-octopus-6-pinwheel-in-sump-skimmer.html

I would stay away from SWC due to recent events.

I run the vertex in100 on my 65g and it does a awesome job. It's super quite, easy to adjust and take the cup off for cleaning. Very satisfied with it. I haven't used the others listed though. imo the vertex might be slightly underpowered for a 90g.

Yeah, well. I would be buying this used off someone, and If I came into personal contact with all the people that own the products I use, I'm sure I would find a flaw with each one of them. And would be stuck to some extreme principles that I couldnt own any product. Im sure the poor chinese people that get paid nothing to make most of these products are not treated very well. etc etc etc....

I use an Aqua-C and couldn't be happier. I've tried others but always come back. Once it's broken-in (a few days) it just works and works without needing the constant tuning I've experience with other designs. Clean it once in a while, and that's it.

The Octopus would be my choice. Really good value and good product. I am running one model down on my 75g. Works great!

I do have one, they usually run higher than they are rated for. I bought mine A NWB250 becuase it was rated at 320g and I was getting a 240g with 110g sump. After I purchased it went into one of the LFSs near my home a saw they were running their entire store except for the frag tanks on the same skimmer. Which is 20, 60g tanks, or 1200g. Another one of the LFSs near me has Octopus on every DT they have, one is a 280g running on a NWB150.
