so... which tang is a hardy-ish tang?

i want to replace my powder blue for a cool looking tang so im asking for an opinion on tangs to see which i might add.

the no list are : Any powder tang
achilles tang ( lfs never has them anyways)
and a tang that you guys think wont do good in a 3 month tank

after we have decided on one. ( yes we...i really take you guys opinion)
ill do my research on it and perhaps get it for Christmas.

I've got a Tomini and a Kole. I like them both, and even though the Kole has had a case of the ick, it never even slowed him down. I've only had the Kole for a little less than a month, but the Tomini has been happy for several months. Hope this helps.

Well Tanks should be set up 6 months before a tang is added.... (I didnt follow that lol)

I personally love the Achilles(You Dont Want) and Purple Tang... with Purple Tangs, ones under the size of 3 inches are more susceptible to ich. But over not to horrible. I got mine at a whopping 4 inches back in the end of august. One thing nice about purple tangs, Once settled in the are a Hardy fish, very beautiful. But I would make sure you add this fish last!

if you have an algae problem go with a sailfin tang... all around good tang and they are pretty too.

Yellow tangs add a lot of personality to tanks but they can sometimes be bullies

Hippo tangs are great, they get really big though and they can occasionally be big scaredy cats

naso tang all around great tang!!! (have one in the 500gal on campus and when i stick my hand in to feed he comes up to it and rubs all against it, really love that guy)

kole tangs just kinda clean film algae off of stuff and arent quite as active as other types of tangs.

thats about my knowledge based on experience from keeping those types of tangs...
