    Hi All,

While I wait for my 120 to cycle I was starting to look at the type of fish I want. I really like the yellow belly hippo tang as well as the Naso Tang. Anyone have any idea if these two fish would be able to co-exist without stressing each other out?

naso usually are pretty relaxed and get along with alot of tangs, my expierence with hippos has been the exact opposite though

edit: i think the hippo should be smaller then the naso and/or added second

They're fine together. With tangs you can go with a general rule of thumb that if they'reof the same genus then they probably wont be able to be put in the same tank unless given lots of room. Sine the hippo is of the genus paracanthurus and the naso is of the genus naso, they should be fine.

Naso's I think are the best tang out there. If you are wanting two of any kind of tang make sure you add them both at the same time. I added my second hippo after my first but it was twice the size so there was no picking between the two. All they do is hide in the rock anyways.

I love those, but the $150 makes me like other Tangs better. The Blonde Naso Tang is my favorite along with the Powder Brown Tang. I loved my Naso Tang, awesome fish that added a lot to the tank.
