So far I am a big fan of black sand, and yes it does provide a nice contrast for the corals while reducing sand reflection glare from the LEDs.

The only drawback to black sand is it shows detritus really well, so I have a small cucumber that keeps the surface of the sand looking good.

Really? I would have thought the opposite with the detritus. Interesting.

Last week I rescaped a little and brought my red and green BTA to the front center of the tank. Today I picked up a ORA Saddleback and 6 hours later this happens. Today is a good birthday, for once I am not hungover and my new clownfish almost immediately hosted an anemone.

This little tank is coming along nicely. I recently traded a few corals and rescaped to improve flow, and added a MP10QD two days ago. The enhanced flow has really brought the corals to life.

Heres a few pics, the good ones are through polarized amber len sunglasses.

    Looks fantastic great color.

So it looks like you were running Korailla before? I am running about 1500 gph on my tank right now but using 2 different power heads. I guess I should just bite the bullet and get the MP10 too.

Yea Corailline, I had two nano Koraillas until one died last week. So I did the replacement the way I always wanted to...

This is my first experience with a Vortech, and I gotta tell you, it really is an amazing pump. I ran a standing wave this morning for about 20 mins, all kinds of goop and sluff was coming out of rocks and off of the corals. My hydnophora and monti's are already feeling better.

Thanks for the complement. I am still happy with the BuildMyLeds, I get plenty of growth and great coloration with the 4 channels I control via my Apex.

So you did not get the wireless? I would never need wireless. Going to order mine tomorrow. What temp does your tank run at?
