Pineapple sponges are the fuzzy things all over your rock. They're harmless filter feeders but such a sudden population boom usually means you have a lot of dissolved organics in your water, which would also explain your cyano outbreak. Check phosphates and Nitrates and act accordingly. That anemone behind your rock on the left looks a little bleached too.

Thank you I just added another 1"-2"of sand soishould do a larger water change and it should fix it up. That is a purple tipped condy that is suppose to be a whitish color. Thanks for the heads up though.

What types of organics are dissolved in the water? and what do nitrates and phosphates have to do with the organics?

that condy healthy should have a purple mouth, and the tentacles should be whitesh grey and the bottom and should get grey/purple as it goes to the tips, and the tips should be purple with hot pink tips..

no nem should be white unless its a sabea..and maybe natural random ones people rarely come across..

heres my old one, not the best pic on colors but should give you a reference on what a healthy condy should look like..

i honestly dont care what you do about the nem, but it would be to your advantage to look into the health of the nem, and may want to increase lighting or water quality..just my .02

As fish and various things in your tank pee it fills your water with various organic waste products, those in turn, dissolve. Often they break down into ammonia and phosphates, the ammonia is processed into nitrate by healthy bacteria in your live rock.

well liveaquaria is a highly recommended site, so there may be a chance it could be white..the nem on the site has a blueish pink white tint, and the foot is extremely redish pink which is a sign of a healthy nem..that might be a pink tipped haitian, and some of them are white, but every purple tipped haitian i have seen is a greyish royal purple color..im not the "nem police" but i have done lots and lots and lots of research on them..nems need super high lighting, most of them are found in very shallow water so they get a large amount of sun all day long..if you have it under some strong t5s, halides, or leds and you have prestine water then maybe you lucked out and got one of the white nems, most of the time if i see a white nem i say its bleached, unless its either a sabea or that white nem has some really extreme looking tips or something..i hope you get what im saying..also that purple condy of yours should have some beautiful tips, like a dark royal purple with a hot pink dot of the poison. yours should also have a deep color mouth area, mine had a super dark royal purple, i love condy nems, but they just arent the best to have in an aquarium, they are super mean and do have a reputation of eating fish, mainly because their tentacles are super sticky, i would say condys have the stickiest tentacles of the nems, its almost impossible to get your finger out the tentacle,(from experience)..their beautiful creatures and grow very very large and nems live very very long periods of time even in captivity..one of my dads friends has had a nem for like 18+ years, it might be more, but thats crazy long to watch something grow and develop..

also nems in my experience need to have the best water you are able to produce..since you have a little outbreak of cyano, it would be best for you to handle that problem, overall your nem should be fine, under the perfect conditions it should color up in a week or so, if you have strong enough lighting..also feed it once a week, some people feed them more, but i think its overfeeding, i feed my LTA every few days, sometimes not for a few days..your nem when it is hungry will get larger, when yours get back to health you will see what i am talking about..this is all if its not the "white" nem its supposed to be..hope this helps man, ive only seen one white nem that wasnt a sabea, it was a condy, and it was a cream color, not bright white, and it had some crucial colorful tips, insane colors, and it was like 100$..most condys are like 10$

yours just looks white bleached, stressed out white color if that makes sense..i hope none of this comes across the wrong way, but it sux seeing nems stressed out in wrong conditions, but that why were here to help and let you have a beautiful tank, and also less stressful tank..

post some info about your tank and we can see what your conditions are,,lighting, water params, flow, how long tanks been established, water change schedule
