+1 on above post advising against

Nems are beautiful , for sure, but a pain in a mixed tank
anything with stinging cells that can move , is not something I want in my reef tank

Damsels are in the same family of fish as clownfish so they to can become "immune" to an anemone's sting.

It kept moving because it was unhappy, either because your tank wasnt to its preference, or more likely because it was extremely unhealthy. Add to that, that it had a large fish playing in it while it was trying to survive, well that doesnt help lol. There are no yellow, or white anemones. Sometimes a deep yellow/green can bee found and is natural. But anything white or florescent or bright yellow, is a bleached unhealthy anemone. In your pictures your anemone was extremely unhealthy, im not saying its your fault, a lot are sold that way.

You can tell this by 3 things. First as I stated above its color is yellow/white, it is bleached. Second you can see that its tentacle strands are far apart from each other. They are nicknamed a carpet for a reason, you shouldn't see much of its base, it should be covered in tentacles, but it has consumed them to try to provide itself with energy. Thirdly it is very droopy looking, almost as if it cant hold itself up.

I was doing alot of talking to fellow local reefers...i will not be adding the carpet because I know it will cause deaths and missing corals...
thanks for all the responses though...
