    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    I think it's cool, but it will affect the colony. You see the same type of sponge take over on Pipe organ corals (Tubipora musica) eventually the polys just do not open. You can let nature take it's course in such a large tank (awesome tank) if it does not bother you.
