I have a 1.5 year old reef tank that is running great. All of my parameters are bang on and fish and corals are happy and growing.

I used to run a hang-on-back skimmer on the DT, but recently (3-4 months ago) setup a larger sump in my basement below the tank. For the last 4-6 weeks, I've noticed that my skimmer (which is now running in the sump) produces only milky white, nasty smelling skimmate. Really thick stuff - almost like cream. It used to produce dark green to coffee colored, nasty smelling skimmate - but no longer.

Anyone experienced/heard of anything like this before?

    Should I be concerned?

I figured it out... Bacterial bloom from my sulfur denitrator. I needed to add more aragonite.
