This might be a dumb question. What are these white spots? I have noticed them more and more. I know what the purple stuff is but the white keeps spreading. Thanks ~Jamie~

Don't think that they are snails Jaime but small crustaceaons like barnacles that grow in most tanks. Not sure of the actual name. Nothing that will be a problem, just clean them from your pumps.

Dude, I've answered that question about 30 times, They are Nerite eggs. Read the thread I linked. It was even ID'd by WWM..... I and many others have had them for years:)

    What is the WWM?

As for link they bring up the things that I called called crustaceons, Spirorbis spp. I get those all over and more often then the snail eggs. Do you know if the eggs are actually placed/laid by the snail on the glass. If so then she could know by sure if they are in places that there are no snails, ie the sump, filters etc.

they lay the eggs EVERYWHERE, no place is sacred. They've laid eggs on eachother, hermit crabs, on ph's, glass, filters, rocks.....everywhere they go..
