White Strand?

    It's sitting on the back wall of my tank. Almost looks like a peice of thread. White scrunched up. Will have pics later. Should i remove this object?

    very odd i have one in my rock doasnt seem to do anything but throw it self in the sand then pull it self back in i think they clean the sand bed for like any dead dabree id say there not harmfull but i woad kik him off sense hes on your glass is it on the side front or back glass if in front i woad take him off it wont look to good with a white worm on it lol

    Im not to sure judging by the pic.
    But i have white sponge that looks like this growing on the underside of my Live Rocks
    Could be the same.
    Anyone know of something that eats sponge?

    My girlfriend pointed out the same thing on a piece or LR yesterday. I have no Idea what it is so I didn't remove it. Whatever it is, I don't think it's harmful but I could be wrong.

    snail eggs - your fish will devour them in no time at all :)

    Some times I will go in with a razor blade and scrape them off and place them in my refugium. Just watch how quickly they get gobbled up :)

    Possible briitle/some other star thats young? I had one on a piece of LR and it had five "legs" I guess you could say. But then the bristlworms got to eet.

    As much as I hate to disagree with folks :D it doesn't look like snail eggs or a starfish to me. Looks more like mesenterial filaments. What kind of coral have you got in the tank?

    I am with ghost and coldshot.

    Snail eggs. Look at the squiggly part, that screams out to me "snail eggs".
