I got 2 squarback anthias 3 days ago, and today he has white string looking stuff hanging from him.

They are in QT at the moment, and only 1 is exhibiting it.

Could it be diet related or Parasites? I feed a combination of food, but have only had them 3 days, so Im not sure what they were eating there.

It could be parasites, diet, stress or all of the above. Soak the food in garlic and vitamins to help the fish fight off the issue.

They already get soaked in garlic, How long should I wait to see if clears up or should be treated with something?

I would get right on treating it. You might want to look into antibiotics.

prazipro is great to use for internal parasite and flukes. also feeding with new life spectrum helps as well. my anthias had this until I started feeding with that food.

Do you know if petco or anything sells that prazipro?

It's pretty hard to find. you may just be better off ordering some from dr foster and smith. I had to drive 45 min to a fish store to get it. Petco doesn't sell any medications unless they are natural so I would say no.

The new life spectrum should help though. Do you have the thera+a kind? that one has more garlic in it. It may help.
