So over the last few weeks ive noticed my starpoylps have bin slowly receding so i talk to the guy at the LFS and he said i might have a slug in there somewhere witch i did ive seen him at night so i found and removed the slug and took it to the LFS for ID he told me it wasent one that feeds on corals and was totaly safe. despite him telling me it was totaly fine i discared it anyway to be sure. So last night i decied to take a look at the night life and seen a soild white worm in there on my starpolyps as soon as i shined the light on it it quickly recied into the rock and looks like it was eating some of the poylps anyone know what this might be it is soild white with nothing on it looks just like a tube worm was not traspairent at all anyone know what this might be and how to kill it or remove it i sat and tryed for 4 hours trying to get a pic but no luck. Heres a pic of the rock that was completely full of starpoylps 3 weeks ago

Try moving the star polyps to the bottom of the tank away from everything sothe worm will have to travel a distance to get to it. Will make it easier to catch it!

I have common fireworms and Purple star polyps..(not a white worm) They do eat on the carpet portion of the purple star polyps but no real damage as the star polyps grow so quickly. I have also seen my peanut worm stretch out and eat detris that collects in the polyps.. they have a rather fierce jaw so i assume some limited damage is possible but again nothing of concern.
