    We can keep 5 a week here since they are thick in our rivers, my personal record is an 86lbs spoonie (most people here call them spoonbills) 40+lbs are very very common though, I catch and release them but I troll snag with barbless hooks since I'm to lazy to sit there with a 10+' rod and work that thing all day

    LOL They're thick here as well. I probably snag more working jigs for 'eyes than I do when I'm actually trying to snag them! We call em spoons as well or river trash. I'm not sure what the very biggest I've ever caught was because there's a slot of 36" to 70" from eye to fork in tail. Everything under and over has to be returned to the water post haste.
