I don't think anything you mentioned in your tank can "eat" the GSP. At first, I thought the GSP were fragile, but after trying to remove it several times from a rock, I know for a fact that it will always come back, providing that you have some decent water parameters.

The current does not affect mine, whether is weak, strong or VERY strong. It always extends the polyps a few minutes after lights on.

It will be fine, IMO. Soon you'll be trying to get rid of it ;)

I have personally witnessed both red and blue legged hermits eating my GSP matt. But that was only when they were in a really clean 14 gallon. Now in a 120 they are behaving well and leaving other gsp alone.

hmmmm i do have red leg hermit crabs in the tank but I don't think they have any lack of food... although with the addition of 40 or so mex turbos... maybe the food is more sparse. hmmmmmmm got me thinking now

    thanks! M Ocean Man

i had a powder blue tang that would eat on my gsp. if the kole tang is nipping at it, it will stay retracted.

been about a week now and still nothing. The small piece of LR rubble it was attached to was moved over night and the mat is nearly all gone :(

I'm wondering about the kole tang now.

Are you feeding your tang seaweed? after i started feeding more often, my pb tang left the gsp alone.
