    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    You can try putting it in a simple clear plastic container with a lot of holes in it and see if they start to open, just make sure you have enough holes.

    yup feeding seaweed and kelp flakes (he loves them), seaweed gets attacked by mex turbo snails at night so not sure how much the kole tang is actually getting.

    if you actually haven't witnessed the tang going after your gsp, i wouldn't blame him. my tang was not shy about it. it would take a few bites every time it swam past the mat.

    part of the problem for figuring this out is I'm not at my tank at night... it's at the store. So in the morning my head spins a lot triing to think what might have happened or what I missed.

    Have you witnessed any grayish asterina starfish? I had a few hitch-hikers that started munching on some corals.

    not that I have seen... Have a LOT of rock in the tank however so I might not see them?
