Thanks, I needed that humor. I just keep walking by my tank and shaking my head.

What do you mean melted? It looks like there is just a big glob of glue left on the plug. I do see a couple tiny polyps left along the edge. They were curled into tiny balls last night. So I guess I still have something. The LFS suggested looking all around my tank incase they broke off the plug. But still haven't found them.

Sometimes xenia just melts into nothing like mushrooms. If it just got unstuck from the glue and floated around you will have to look very hard as it will shrink to practically nothing.

My bet is on either something you cant see cause it is hiding in the rock or your emerald crab!

Sorry, this one isn't as clear but you can see it's missing. A little left on the edges

I went to the only LFS store around. It's the one I bought this from. I described what the plug looked like - "a big glob of glue" left on the plug. They told me glue wouldn't hold a xenia so it probably cam dislodged and melted away... Wow, I really lost faith in the LFS that they would sell a xenia frag that they knew wouldn't hold. He said they buy them from different places and don't have time to inspect all of them

I think most soft corals are tough to glue to a frag due to how much they expand once they open up. I gave up trying to glue my Kenya Trees and just set them in my LR.

However I do have some Xenia glued to a large Nerite shell of all things. Holding great so far!
