    Go ahead, let me know. On a new system I'm on two months and just added my first snails. Haven't had a diatom bloom or the gha outbreak though? :-/

    Mine only took 2-3 weeks, with half live rock, half base rock. Sorry to hear yours is taking longer, but it'll be worth it in the end!

    I don't see why you guys are apologizing for it taking so long. I intended for it to take long. The point of a cycle is to get the algae that most people run into after a few months out of the way. With a long one you can ensure that you have a strong bacterial population also.

    My tank is fish ready, however it is not ready with respect to phosphorylating bacteria

    Mine lasted about 6 to 7 weeks, mostly because I was also curing live rock at the same time, I hope little minnie cycles don't last as long :/
