I7 is an awesome processor and you shouldn't have many issues with that setup. My sister has the same one and the only problem they've had to date was bad RAM, apple replaced the RAM and it has worked great since. As for switching which volume you want to boot to, try pressing Option while booting the computer. It should allow you to choose the Windows volume or the Mac volume.

If you're trying to remove windows you will need to reformat the hard drive and reinstall OSX on it. Keep in mind this will delete EVERYTHING on the hard drive so back up anything you need to save. To boot the the OS disk you have to press or hold C while booting the pc with the disk in. That will launch the GUI where you can reformat the HD to a single partition and reinstall windows. This will also remove any administrator passwords they put on the computer.

    Sweet new toy!
Don't believe those that say that Macs don't have any software problems or that they are idiot proof or any of that. Since you use Adobe I guess you are creating content. Apps still freeze up and crash at the worst times. Its not you. Computers still suck. They know when you haven't saved in a while and go out of their way to ruin your day. Don't hold it against them, they are just kinda ornery. Give us a shout when you get frustrated.
    Have fun.

Can I work on a file on a PC using Dreamweaver, save it to a USB and open it on the Mac within the Mac OS version?

    I'm thinking no?

you should be able to if you have the same program (dreamweaver) on the mac or a program that uses the same filetype. some "dual boot" methods even let you move stuff from you windows 'disk' to your osx 'disk' so you don't need the usb-stick step.
