Seeing as it is the cheapest method for shipping, I was just wondering if this was one of those things where you get what you pay for? Who has used it for overnight delivery and what was your experience?

Well I just got my cleanup crew that way and they came from Florida. They shipped them at 4pm and they were at my post office by 6am the next morning. I live in upstate ny and I didn't think they would get here that fast so I have no complaints here.

For the price the USPS cannot be beat with their service, and the majority of the time it will arrive the next day. No company or service is perfect 100% of the time.

    [IMG] Mailing Live Animals
Anyone shipping live animals must call the District Expedited Services Office (ESO), which coordinates and clears such shipments. The ESO will tell you where to drop off your “live” shipment and notify the accepting office.

The availability of a drop-off site may vary depending on transportation or the retail site’s ability to handle large volumes. The ESO tries to make acceptance points for live animal shipments widely available and ensure protection of the lives while in the postal system.

With the September 25, 2006 inception of live animal mail transport on the FedEx Network, the number of retail outlets available for live animal acceptance increased significantly. Transportation on commercial carriers continues to be available. For more FedEx network details:

The USPS uses Fedex for many shipments these days and Fedex also provides alot of transportation for regular mail as well.

But if your mailing anything live make sure to follow the procedures in place if you want to ensure proper handling.

I've used it before and never had any issues, they have always delivered on time.
