ii want as little noise as possible. im doing a zeroedge for its peaceful effect. no wave makers, no fans. no extra equipment running.
    will think about a skimmer.

I realized that after I posted about the water movement. I was looking at those tanks, they look amazing.

Like almost no heat at all. I can put my hand on the glass and it just feels a little warm. Not like metal halides where it will give you a 3rd degree burn lol. Ive fried my hair on Metal Halides.

Yes there are 3 fans. and yes they are to cool where the leds are attached. [

QUOTE=kracer1025;917379]I am sure that there are 3 fans under the 3 round vents at the top of the fixtures. We need clamsondemand to chime in and let us know for sure. My fixtures have 2 fans each.[/QUOTE]

I just installed my new LED kit on my Biocube 29. It is using the 4.6 CREE LED's and they look simply amazing. My temp is lower, chiller not working as hard and I am confident I can grow anything at this point. I am trying to get a PAR meter from my local fish club. I also live the shimmer effect that LED's give off.

yes something different. i have read the tank also runs cooler, has great oxygen exchange. but downfall is evaporation. thats to be expected. i purchased the reef angel controller to help me with the auto top off. im told the zeroedge loses a gallon a day of water. so i really feel a auto top off is needed.
i have been putting so much thought into every purchase for this tank. i feel my brains going to explode! lol
my first saltwater tank i sort of stumbled along. believed all the people at the fish store said...(made costly mistakes) i honestly in the 2 years of not having my 58 gal tank :( have forgot some things. and than there are also so many new things out there.
