Who here has an ipad?

is it any good?

 

you know that they are not officially released until April 3rd, right?

There might be a few review models out there, but the release is April 3rd. Apple has pretty tight control over distribution. They won't even let non-Apple owned resellers stray too far from the MSRP on their products without permission.

 

I can't wait to see the figures on how many people are guzzling that apple koolaid. As a long time apple user/enthusiast I'm ashamed that my prediction has come to pass; the more they become popular, the more they'll become what people have always accused microsoft of being.

 

I have all Apple computers in the house, and my wife and I both have iPhones.

I'm interested in the iPad as an ebook reader, and for gaming. However, I'm not over the top enthusiastic about it. More than likely my wife will give me one for my birthday, because I love gadgets and I'm otherwise hard to shop for so it's a sure bet for her.

I'm actually more tempted to spend the money on a calcium reactor, or a Vortech MP40. LOL

 

ipads do look cool, and I love my iphone... but it seems like holding it would become tiresome. it's not like you can set it comfortably on a desk or in your lap like a notebook computer, and it's not hand-held size like an iphone... just seems awkward, even though it looks to be a really cool gadget.

 

agreed... but im going to consider the second gen ipad after all the bugs are out of it

I will not be buying a supersized ipod touch that cannot fit in my pocket.
