    Here's a little background.
I've had a 29 gallon for a year. In that year, I've had multiple fish. A few that have lived together for a while are a purple firefish and a black combtooth blenny, or yellowtail blenny, "I dunno there's so many names for it" 2 sexy shrimp and a couple other fish that I feel I don't need to get into since they're staying put.

I've recently aquired a 22 gallon nano and decided to move all my reef stuff to it. Along with the new tank came a yellow watchman goby, one sexy shrimp and a purple coral banded shrimp.

2 days ago I moved some corals, the 2 sexy shrimp, purple firefish and the blenny into the new home 22 gallon. Now all the stuff is together.
Today I came home and the firefish was on the sandbed and it's tail was gone. It's still alive but barely. No crabs are going after it since it's not dead yet so I cant imagine that the crabs ate it's tail. The blenny was chasing the YWG and fighting with it. Also, the blenny is incredibly fat like it gorged on something, could it have been the firefish's tail? I think the blenny is going back into the 29 (which will be converted to a FOWLR). However, I don't know that the blenny attacked my firefish since he lived happily with him before.

    What do you guys think?
Also this may all be in vein since I'll be hit by the hurricane tomorrow night into sunday and don't have a backup plan for pumps, other than my battery powered airator.

I would think that the cbs may have had something to do with the tail damage...

Really? Seems very shy and peaceful, I would have never thunk it. I'm going to have to do some research on this guy.

After doing a bit of research, it looks like this Purple Coral Banded Shrimp needs to go. He came out and grabed the firefish to finish it off. I guess I should have removed it (half dead firefish) from the tank while I had the chance, but it was still breathing.

Yeah that sucks. Sorry for your loss bro. Blennys typically don't do well with gobies especially in a small tank. Some blennys can become down right nasty.
