3 choices here amcarrig - apple, pineapple and recently, peach, but used to be something purple (I have no idea what the English name is for the fruit being used - Chinese name was Lan Mei. Its a type of berry a bit like a rasberry but longer and darker in colour, whatever it was it tasted great though).

Good 'ol Mickey D's. They strive to be regionally true. They have soups in France, Halal McNuggets in Israel, where the slaughter of their chickens is in strict supervision of a Rabbi, and apparently Pineapple pies in Shenzhen.

 

Unfortunately Sparky, you're incorrect.. Halal is where a Imam (of the Islamic faith, similar to a Priest or Rabbi) blesses the chicken prior to being slaughtered. This goes with any butchering of any animal, I.E beef or lamb. Now the type of meat that is supervised at slaughtering by a Rabbi is called Kosher meat. Although may seem similar in practice...totally different in theory.

kosher killings are seriously disturbing atleast they way they kill cows, they flip the animal upside down in a metal cage like contraption, slit its throat. drop the animal out of the cage let if move around on the floor tell all the blood squirts out. they kill it this way as it was the way to remove the most blood during biblical times. i think modern meat practices are actually safer as i heard the cows body goes crazy and release tons of toxins due to the tramatic killings.
