    I use a Coralife 2 X 150w with 2 X PC's. Works great on my 90g.

I use one 150 watt jbj clamp on with a 10k ushio bulb plus about 28watts of t-5 actinic for dusk/dawn on a 29g. I keep montipora digitata in direct light and all the softies you can imagine slightly outside the direct light. Also my anemone loves life. :cheesy: IMO I would run two 150's on a 55g. This would amount to 5.45 watts per gallon which is acceptable

I use a outer orbit 150w pendant on my 37 gallon column. Sps up high and Lps down low. Works great for me. Especially when i can't afford another light. Lol.

i run 2 150s on my 55 gallon. my tank isn't heavily stocked with corals but my frogspawn, polyps, and mushrooms are doing great. most of all i have a LTA that's probably 15 inches in diameter that loves them. i'm using 15k bulbs and they are the pendent style also which like you said can adapt to any tank.
