I may just have to get real sick Wednesday night and be sick all weekend long... Then I could go! Darn my morals for not letting me do this!

    Thatgrimguy,

That sucks. If you come to Reef-A-Palooza, you buy the $10 ticket at the door. If you can't go, you don't pay. Simple as that. You still got a month to plan! If you all are interested we can have Matt Rogers do a give-away of some tickets?

BTW, I'm putting in a call to a friend to see if there is anything he can do for your situation. I figured it's worth a shot.

Incorrect. Nexus laws encompass a LOT more then just sales tax and were not spawned by Amazon. They have in fact been on the books for a long time and apply to even the smallest business.

Read up on them, every state has a form of Nexus and applies to a ton of business practices.

Even sending a REP to a store in another state could activate a Nexus and depending on their Nexus law, may force you into paying corporate taxes, getting permits in that state, payroll taxes, etc.

IF it is now a big deal, why did Premium and Live Aquaria pull out? BTW, the RB article barely touched the surface on the Nexus issue.

Live Aquaria pulled out? Or was that a rhetorical question? Their Facebook feed yesterday indicated else-wise.

*Edit* Nevermind, checked the vendor map and I see that now.

Care to shed any light on the real reason vendors are pulling out then?

Well thank you for clearing that up Gresham! I'll have to call him back and let him know its a bigger deal than he originally thought! Man I really hope he doesn't back out now... Then I wouldn't have a roommate YET again :-/

Wasn't there a problem like this with the fish and game commission a year or two ago? I want to say in Florida?
