I will keep my mouth shut on the price tag. Other than that it is a good fixture. I will say that they switched the whites to XT-Es because it is cheaper, not more efficient. XP-Gs are 5-8% more efficient than XT-Es, yet almost twice as much. Still a good fixture, and they added the royal blue XT-Es, which are far superior in power to the XP-Es. Also, good call on the violets, however I would like to see the brand, and exact spectral output of the violets they used before I can give a total judgement, and would like to test one out, or see if Sanjay will be testing for ecotech again.

I'm sure they will send one to Sanjay to have tested. Those guys are engineers and build strictly to specs. They don't even need to send it because they know exactly what the results will be. I will guarantee they have all the test equipment in their facility. They will do it just for the unbias testing results.

Yes, and I'm sure all in all it will be a good fixture. The only thing I don't like is the price, LOL

Peaks at 405nm and 415nm it says.

Price the light at $500 and I'd buy it. $949 is an absolute joke.

Your Supernova will match it for nearly half the price, and you can create a DIY with the same leds for under $350. I did.

Competition is sorely needed to bring these companies back to reality. I wouldn't buy any led fixture if it wasn't for companies like yours or DIY.

I know it, but will not bash them, as a competitor that is very unprofessional. And yes, the Supernova will be more powerful ;)

I'm not saying I'm happy with the price but comparing this with the Reef Breeders is like comparing apples and oranges. There is so much into the design of their unit. It is now a more complete unit.

The problem with renewable energy is that we don't have a way to store it. Good batteries make wind and solar more viable.

I agree with not bashing them or their new light, they have been a major player in bringing LEDs into our hobby. I have heard they have really good customer service which means alot to me since i believe CS is one of the most important parts of a successful bussiness. They have built a following for many reasons and should reap the rewards for many years to come.
With that said i know a fixture that is in the production run now that will give all hobbest a chance to own a high end sleek design Led fixture built here in the US. It has twice the punch as the new pro with full spectrum design and internal workings second to none at 1/3 the cost. It will work with any controller has dimming and one of its great feature's is with its design, no matter how you choose to color your aquarium you will always be within the sweet spot for growth. The first run is already sold out with delivery slated around the 25th+- so information will be available soon:)

LMAO $1000 for a light fixture, out of their minds! It honestly disgusts me that people will spend that kind of money on a fixture.

But this is america right? so of course the sheep will spend w.e is asked by the big names! just how this country works. Just like the cool kids that wear the expensive clothes, but my $30 levi jeans sure last a lot longer then your $100 pair of hollisters. *sigh*
