ive been looking and looking for a fish for my 10 gal and just cant find one!!!! i want something that is a carnivore, something predatory, but i know that cant be done in a 10 gal (besides mantis). so now im just looking for a cool fish with some personality. i looked at a valentini puffer but they require a 30 gal and he isnt welcome in my reef tank. i just want one fish really. i dont know why i cant find one!! i know its a small tank but still.

what fish would you recomend that is out of the ordinary and neat.

Have you looked into a frogfish, or an angler?

They work great in nanos, because they don't really swim.

i have!! most people say that they are not good for 10 gal because it says the min tank size is 20. but my thinking is (after owning one myself for a while, darn reef tank!! lol) they dont move much, barley swim and really just sit their. i would love to have one in this tank but many say that its too small.

I know of a few kept in their own 12g biocubes. 10g is not a problem, but any shrimp or any fish other than the angler will become food, or at least dead.

frogfish look awesome, i wish i could keep one with my puffer when i turn his tank to a semireef, to bad these guys eat fish, would be a cool tank mate as my puffer can't live with any other fish.

Good luck on finding your fish :D
