Hey guys!! I came home last nite from the long weekend, and the light in my house had gone out and for some reason my pump didnt start up again...when i came in last nite i had lost my coral beauty :( and my purple gargonia ....but i was looking through my tank this morning and i saw that I was missing one of my mushrooms, and it seems that the mushroom detached from its rock where it was at....why did it do this...now the mushroom is just on the sand....should i pick it up and put it on a rock or what??

    I will appreciate everyone's help!!!!

    Thank You!!

    How long tank without circulation???\

Lack of oxygenation/gas exchange is your problem...

Get some additional aeration in there asap...(airstone?)...

Check you power load on existing circuit you are using, and fuses...

This is definitly not a problem you want to keep having. :-/

Mushrooms move when they are not happy in present location for whatever reason...

I have no clue how long my tank was without circulation b.c i was out of town ...i left on friday nite and came back yesterday nite....and saw that for some reason my pump wasnt working ....im going to get another pump bc this is the second time it does this to me.... n then i have to hit it a couple times and then it strats up again....

what should i do with the mushroom should i just leave it alone and it will attach to something...or should i grab it and place it on a rock??

grab and place on a rock - it will then reattach its self.

have you been doing your pump maintenance? it may just be gummed up with crap

I know my mag pumps I take the front cover off every couple of months and pull the impeller and wipe it down, then put it all back together and it runs quieter after words

Mushrooms will often detach and seemingly rely on the current to help them find a better spot in which to thrive. (more light/more current)

Mushrooms will even do that even if ever thing is doing just fine and no loss of electricity has happened.
I have one my self that detached and had been floating round for a few days, then attached to a rock on the back side, i waited and then cut the head of it off and allowed it to move once more, ( the little piece that was attached will make another head ).

Get a disposable cup, I keep a pack around for feeding. Puts some small rock pieces in the cup. Put the mushroom in the cup and then place it back into the tank. The mushroom should attach itself in a few days....
