Why no tank of the month on 3reef?

Personally I like the fact that this forum has no TOTM. It seems like everyone gets to show case their tanks. The size of this forum makes that an option unlike some bigger forums where hobbyist tanks get lost in the size and number of threads.

Call me old but I do not like change, it's perfect the way it is.

And please no lounge.

I agree! We should continue doing some contests, but logistically a TOTM would be hard. FOTM and COTM were on a first come first serve basis I thought, plus there is no competition between everyone.

 

The contests are a GREAT idea!!! Really sparks member interests as well as gives great exposure and interaction ops for sponsors!

 

So why don't we come up with a contest idea to submit to Matt or one of the mods?

 

Nothing like a excited idea being shot down by fellow members.

I love to see members tanks. That is exactly the reason I do not like a TOTM, the amazing tanks tend to cause other member to not so enthusiastically show their tanks.

Nothing like a good build thread, that you can choose to follow or not.

 

I agree with most of the posts said. As it is a good idea. I do like that everyone can show off their tanks, purchases and other various things throughout the forums. Honestly yes it is nice to see an amazing tank here or there. But I guess Im more about the humble approach seeing tanks of my equal grow to become those amazing tanks.

And To be honest seeing those amazing tanks, puts me in awe, but sets me back months.
