I've been noticing that there aren't many large fish in this hobby. I am yet to see a full grown tang cruising around someone's tank. The only full grown fish I've seen in a tank is clown fish. I'm wondering what the reason is for this so I'm posting a poll.

I'll start. I have no full grown fish, because I like fish that get too big for my tank so I have to trade them in before they can get that big.

I have a Blonde Naso and Foxface that is pretty close to full grown in my tank. If I can get them to stay still for a while I will get a picture of the two for you.

How about the option of, the fish are not yet fully grown, with no mention of noob status?

I am not a noob, but not all my fish have been around long enough to get to full size. Some of my fish are massive (for their kind), while others are newer, and still growing.

I have had one fish for 3 years and another for 1 year.. I have a nano, so I don't expect either fish to get really big.. If my Clownfish gets too big, I'll trade him so he doesn't get stressed in a 24g. My Y.W.M. Goby is three years old and has grown a lot since I bought him.. I don't plan on ever getting rid of him though. He should be alright in a 24g..

I deliberately chose small fish because I wanted to enjoy watching them grow up in the tank. A small bonus is that the small fish are cheaper. I do have 1 large fish in my tank -- the sailfin is about 8" so still no where near full grown.

I've been in the hobby for about two years and my fish have grown, but not adult size yet. I've had a couple jump out. But I like to buy fish small and see they grow. My tang is relatively small, about 3" and my other fish have gotten much larger, but still not adult size.
