Wierd new growth

    I have noticed some growth on my live rock that's kinda wierd. Being so smallit's hard to get a good pic with my camera but I tried these things are small pinkish purple things that look like tounges with light pink veins in them like a leaf they are fleshy look like flesh from a coral I don't know what it is but I hope it grows into something neat!! ::)

    Could be forminferans, very cool! Post some updated pics when they grow and we'll see if we can make a positive ID.

    do they look like the end of a q-tip with a tuft of hairs at the end? thats what it kinda looks like to me they could be qtip sponges mostly white to a real pale yellow maby up to an inch long. you may get a lot of them for a while but then they will thin out a bit.
