    Hey Everyone!

My name is Melissa and my husband loved this forum! He (Stercus Accidit) passed away on Christmas Eve...right after he got our 20 gallon up and running. I know he has a build thread on here somewhere... Underneath the main 20 gallon, is a 20 gallon refugium. I've spent the last four and half months lurking through my husband so I could learn more about our tanks. Right now, I have a

    feather duster,
    black and white clown,
    cleaner shrimp,
    a tube anenome,
one coral banded shrimp...misc. snails, and a few blue legged hermits.
(oohh and a pretty cool hitch-hiker serpent starfish, i saw today)

I had a blue chromis that my husband bought, that literally disappeared, never found one piece of it... and I had a mated pair of coral banded, but one died  My husband's brother has our Mandarin, I was afraid he wasn't getting enough to eat, but he is still thriving!!
    I also have
    a kenya tree
    and a frog spawn

My husband installed two drivers...with white, blue, and violet LED's...I don't know any technical terms...:-[

Right now my goal is to keep everything alive (hopefully) and to get the other items my husband had on his list. I have had a ton of problems since my husband died from-- green bubble algae, brown hair algae, the sudden appearance of hundreds of pineapple sponges, a tank over-flow, and several other things-- I learned about all of them from this forum...so thanks guys!! I figured it was about time to join for myself. I will post pictures of what it looks like... when I figure out how...

    Welcome to 3 reef Melissa

my condolences on the passing away of your husband
not sure what else to say about this aspect, I do not want to cause any further upset

I think that it is wonderful that you want to keep the tank going and to fulfill your loved ones tank wish list
having that positive focus will be of great benefit to you

I am sure the members of this site, will give you as much help, advice, assistance as you may need
although I suspect, you already have a reasonable background knowledge as the tank is still in operation anyway

I look forward to the images
and I hope you enjoy your time and experience on this site

    Steve

    Welcome to 3reef.

    My condolences.

To post images I have found it easiest to get a free photobucket account. Transfer (upload) the image from your computer to photobucket, you then copy and paste the IMG code (photobucket image) into your post.
