No offense but even that wouldn't last long...lions mouths are like living vacuums! An angel even moderately big would be lunch...since the OP went the lionfish route, stay with the poisonous fish scene JMO

You could go with some puffers, or other scorpionfish! You still have lots of cool options!

Cool fish. :) I would not go with any "peaceful" fish that couldn't hold their ground against this guy..like an angel.

Not a bad idea. I'm really wanting a dogface puffer.

I just came home, and my new fish was dead :( I had a small rockslide, and the lionfish's head was under a rock. My wife is so upset, as am I. Are these fish known to burrow? I'm wondering if he was trying to get under the rock?

man that sucks, sorry to hear that. that was a cool looking lion fish too. not to sure if lion fish burrow in the rocks or not but if i brought home a fish for my wife on valentines day and it turned up dead the next day she would be my first suspect. but yours is probably more into the fish tanks than mine.

Sorry to hear this. No, lions don't burrow.

They are big and sometimes clumsy though if they are hungry. I'm very sorry for your loss.
