Saw again tonight...after lights went out (under moonlights)...

That "larva like" critter flittering about tank...that I mentioned in earlier thread.

Now is about 3" long, very thin wormlike, - increased from 1/4" from when I first saw it.. swims very very fast, crazily about tank..kind of a "corkscrew" swimming motion. this way, that way, top to bottom.

Again too fast to get good view of.

What could it be? Have I got a young "eel"?

    Am very curious.

is it a long white worm? im not sure what it was but when i came home from work on day i had one like that swiming in a corkscrew pattern never found out what it was. mine also had a reflective white spot on its head, sorta reminded me of those reflectors along the road. ive seen them a couplke of times but very rarely

    Karla,

That's it...same as you describe. Is something that "hatched" from lr I believe.

See only occasionally, only with lights off.

Getting longer and longer...about 3" now. Still moves too fast to get good view of. Pretty much transparent body. Wild erratic swimming motion...

Does not sound like the "pearlfish" described above.

    Hey...looks like I "graduated" (from "plankton" - cool :) )

    Still have no idea.

Have not seen in a long while, so I think it probably "morphed" into whatever its "adult" stage is supposed to be.

Tank still provides daily surprizes with "new life" - new kinds of "snails" coming from nowhere - long white shells (?) -

Killer "crab" I posted about elsewhere - found another juvenile but managed to intomb him in a crevice with a piece of coral covered with glue...was week or so ago & he is still "trapped" (hopefully forever)

Something with long tenticles living under one rock - which I only get glimpses of now and then...reaching out, feeling about for very short periods of time - but quickly disappears if it "senses" any movement outside tank (some kind of "rock" anenome (?) / "squid" like critter (?)-

Really is all a great "wonder" - is what makes this such a fascinating pastime.

    Rgds,

    OmarD
