The stand was built out of pallets I reclaimed from work. I used the 2x4s for the framing and then the slats I planed for the skin which is a frame and raised panel construction.

Last time I do that though, tearing those pallets down was a major pain. I think some of the assemblers must get paid by the fastner, and the nails were ring-shanks!

 

lol, good luck with it wiiglec. i like that setup better . the other seemed too spread out , this is tight. i look forward to seeing the next step

It has been four weeks since I received my live rock...

Parameters came in today indicating the cycle is complete!

Ammonia and nitrite both undetectable. Nitrate climbing to 5ppm. Time for a clean-up crew and some macro-algae before things get out of hand...
