will a dwarf zebra lionfish do ok with a snowflake eel?

    I currently have a snowflake eel and was wondering if a dwarf zebra lionfish could be in the same tank and not have any problems? thanks in advance.

    of course, i had a russell's lionfish and a snowflake and they were good buddies. make sure that when you are feeding them you use a probe or feeding stick for the eel otherwise he might come to the surface and try to grab it from the lion (who is slow) and could be bitten.

    There are a couple of factors that should be considered mixing these 2 up. But, the most important of the factors, how big is the eel? IME dwarf lionfish aren't nearly as hardy as your standard lionfish. I wouldn't keep one without maintaining reef standard water quality. Between the 2, you will need some good filtration to keep up with the eels sloppiness. You will also run into wrestling for food which will probably result in a "sting". Your system will also tell us if this is a good mix. What size/type tank do you have? What other fish do you have?

    well guess what! i dont have either anymore. i gave back the eel (very cool by the way) and got the lionfish. and it died :( well just thouhgt id let you know!
