Okay, my 75 gal tank is 4 months old (i know im going to have to wait for some of these) with about 1.5 inches live sand. I have a couple mushrooms, green polyps, and 2 leather coals. I have around 90 lbs live rock. My fish wish list is an engineer goby, a fire shrimp, one or two pep shrimp, a tri color fairy wrase, 3 skunk cleaner shrimp, a red banded pistol shrimp and spottail shrimp goby pair, a golden highfin blenny, 1 b&W ocellaris clownfish pair, one blue spotted jaw fish, and 1 serpent star. Are these too many or could I add one or two more? I already have the wrasse, the engineer goby, the fire shrimp and the pep shrimp. I am feeding my tank 1/8 mysis cube every morning and night. Thanks for any feedback!!!!!;D

i dont see anything wrong with what youve got or want to add. no real big bioload there. what type filtration do you have? and how much LR? i think you might be able to add another fish possibly.

i have an overflow leading to a 20 gal sump/refugium (with cheato) Im not sure about the wattage or what kind of powerheads but I will check. Im still adding live rock. So those fish will do okay in my setup?

youve got plenty LR already, but extra definitely doesnt hurt. are you running a skimmer? but as is , i think youre ok. and your water params are all holding good, more in regards to nitrates and phosphates?

The only thing I would be careful of is the engineer goby. They get looooong. LiveAquaria says 1'. Even if it only gets to 8" that's still pretty big for a 75g IMO.
Actually you might be a little light on the sand for the jawfish as well but it may do OK until it grows up.
Also careful of the shrimp if you plan on having any LPS, I've had bad experiences with them digging food out of the LPS corals and causing them to stay closed all the time.

I agree with divott- No major bio load, there. Those are all small, peaceful species. You could possible add a couple more. The main idea though is to work slowly with making new additions, only adding 2 or 3 at a time, and make sure any new LR is fully cured to help ensure against 'recycling', aka new tank syndrome.

    Cheers and Good Luck. ;)

I can't make any promises, but quite frankly, I've had an Engineer Goby in a 29g for almost 2 years, now.

Lesson #1- They love to build elaborate tunnels under the rocks.

Lesson #2- In doing so, my shallow sandbed has become a DSB between the rocks and front glass.

It's always possible to make the goby one of your next additions, and see just exactly how he rearranges the sand. If he piles it 4-1/2 - 5 inches deep as mine has done, there's still some hope for the Jawfish in the near future. ;)
