i bought a 55 gallon tank (thread will come soon so hold you horses people) and wanted to stock it with

    radiata lionfish
    snowflake eel
    huma huma triggerfish

they will be added in that order after tha cycle. i have two power heads that i can use to agitate the water. i will be using a glass canopy as the eel may escape otherwise. if i left the lid open when i was home, and shut it when i was asleep or away, would there be enough oxygen? i will have 10-15 mangroves, chaeto, gracilaria, and caulerpa in the tank also. should i be ok?

Are you going to be running a protein skimmer? Also, make sure you don't overfill the tank so the water is touching the bottom of the glass. Where are the mangroves and macroalgaes going to be?

The mangroves and macros won't do enough to keep oxygen up by themselves. A protein skimmer is a must for this tank, not only for the oxygen but because those fish are dirty ones, from what I hear.

Both are excellent skimmers for a 55. You'll be fine as long as you have some space between the top of the water and the glass and one of your powerheads is disturbing the surface of the water. Where are the mangroves going to be? In a hang on back refugium?
