    LED Reef Bright

I had the reef bright for my 10 gallon and sent it back. Fixture is 20" long but the LEDs only measure 11" and are all in the middle. Dark tank on the ends and either front or back. I'm happy to see they now carry fixtures with 3 watt LEDs. I asked them how long are the LEDs only and they didn't reply.

Will this be enought (DIY Build)

My led arrived today; I will post some pic when I get home.

    Q &A time ::)
1 how far apart should I space the led? The going number I have found is 2 to 3 inch. I plan on having it hanging about 5 to 6 inch off the top.

    2. Being that I will have it 5 to 6 inch off the top of the tank, I plan to run it at 25% is that enough? Right now there is a pineapple, Chalice and a bubble in there. Keep in mind it’s a hospital tank.

    New topic
I am planning on getting a 90 very soon. But I would like to get the leds for it now and keep in on my 29, but dialed down (going leds all the way). This is what I am looking at

Honestly, for $19 more ya can get the 72 system. I like your blue white ratio, but with the 72 ya could add a few of the other white spectrums, add a some reds and violets. And do they have any other blue besides rb? $19 will buy ya peace of mind that you could grow anything in that tank plus widen the color spectrum. IMO

lol Cosmo you sure you don’t work for them or getting a cut of the money lol.

But all they have is RB for the blues

With the 72 I would do
    24 white 48blue
    50% 10000k 50%6500k
    mean well
    optics 60 degrees

Then pick up 4 violet and 4 red
    The final setup will be
    24 white 40 blue 4 violet and 4 red

Running at 15 to 20% over the 29 at 10 inch off the water

so 2 to 3 inch spacing and 5 to 6inch off the top runinng at 25% will be fine for the hosptial tank?

lol no worries bro! I had a lot of people help me with my build! It gets confusing.

But, lol, I'd look at something more like
    8 violets
    4 red
    40 blues
    14 10k
6 a mix of the other whites

You should be ok on your hospital, with 60 degree optics, ya may have to go a little higher and amp up the light a touch so ya don't have spotlighting, but ya should be close.
