Sorry, I have a dumb question & needed a quick response if possible. I'm getting an Eshopps RS-100 20g sump with dimensions 24x12x16, it lists the skimmer area as 12x11.

Would an Octopus NW-150 skimmer dimensions 12x8.5 fit in the sump? Again I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, I just wasn't sure if I'd have to cram it in.

Other in-sump skimmers I'm looking at are the Octopus NW-110 or Octopus Extreme XS-160, which have a smaller footprint.

The tank is a 30x30x18 (70g) cube, in a 30x30 stand, so I know any of those skimmers I mentioned would clear height-wise.

    Thanks for any help!

Haha thanks man! It's one of those things if something 12"w tries to go into a 12"w space would it fit, seems simple but I'm unsure, hmmmm.

I would be concerned as there seems to be no tolerance
if the skimmer footprint is 12 and the sump area is 12
you only need the skimmer to be slightly larger than 12 or the sump area to be slightly smaller than 12 - to find the skimmer will not fit properly

the skimmers with the pumps mounted underneath the skimmer body - such as the Extreme you mention have a footprint of 8 inches - and that gives 4 inches of tolerance
and thus IMHO - cant fail to fit in your chosen sump

Thanks for all the input guys, I went with the Octopus NW-110 for now. It will def fit in my sump and I had some nice coupons for Cyber Monday which brought it to under $150 shipped!

@Patrick I would have gotten the BM but it was out of stock and I've heard both the Octo and it are both great for the price, glad you're enjoying yours.
