Thanks Marshall! Means a lot bud.

Thanks Todd! Really appreciate the kind words.

I am contemplating your suggestion. If I do the of area an this is a glass tank, I have to do glass overflows because the black acrylic wont bond as well. The glass OF will be that much more to maintain when it starts to grow algae on the inside and it will already be pretty tight. So might just do a standpipe with a strainer. What do you think.

The bop is doing excellent, PE is absolutely amazing. The neon green Bn isn't doing to well. I have t seen any PE on it in a while and I've been moving it around trying to make it happy. Right now it's right next the the bop. I'm trying to bring it back. Sorry, I don't know what's going on with it.

Thanks OFK. I can always count on you to be positive. It's nice and very appreciated.
There definitely is. I love DIY and DIY that come out great is even better.
Thanks again for the kind words.

Thanks everyone for the compliments and suggestions. I appreciate it.

Hey everyone, so I'm am trying to figure out what I want to do.
Should I do corner overflows with stockman standpipes?
    Or
    Just 2 standpipes with strainers.

The overflows I am concerned will get dirty and hard to clean the inside of the glass.

I know the strainer standpipes will be easier but cosmetically how will that look.
I will have it all painted black.

Not worried about the sound so much as this will be in my garage and not in a living area.

I just want it to be functional and look spiffy.

    Thanks for your help.

Very impressive! Is it going to connect to sumps and DT?

Thanks Anya. No it will be a complete stand alone system. It will actually be on a separate level of my house in my garage.

Still trying to figure out the overflow and standpipe issue. What to do?

I would go with the two standpipes with strainers, also what kind of halide 75, 150, 175, 250, 400 probably not a 400w.

Thanks Bob. I think that's what I'll do.
I have a 150w and I'm thinking of doing 2 420nm pendant bulbs. Or something else I'm not sure yet.

Going to start on the stand tomorrow. Going to oversize it quite a bit because I am going I have 2 20g tall tanks underneath. One for the sump that will house the equipment and all the LR, the other will be the refugium.
I am going to keep the LR our of the fuge because I want to keep several different types of macro algae and well I just want to. Hope that makes sense.

In 2 hrs this is what I came up with. Still have a long way to go but this is just the idea. Yes I know it's a but oversized but that is what I wanted. I don't want to be cramped under the stand for anything. Also this gives me enough room on top to upgrade when I find the right tank.
    Hope you like it.

So the stand is 48" tall, 48" long and 30" wide.
I will have 3 tanks below.
The raised tank on the left is for the fuge. The middle tank is the sump and the tank on the right is for the ATO reservoir.
I wanted to have plenty of room below to have reactors, pumps, lights or whatever comes up that I want to put down there. I don't want a cramped stand.
I still plan to skin it and put doors on 3 sides. Front and the 2 sides. Let me know if you have any suggestions or comments.
    Thanks for looking.
