So I have a very well cycled tank that has been running for a month with a small clean up crew (5 turbos, 10 ceriths, 10 blue leg hermits). My fish wish list is below, as are the specs of the tank. I am curious as to which order I should put fish in. It will be a reef tank. Can you help me? Thanks!!!

    Tank specs:
    55G glass tank
    Aqua Clear 110 filter
    Octopus BH-100 Skimmer
Nice heater (forget what its called)
    60 Lbs sand
    30 lbs live rock
    No light yet

    Fish wish list:
2 clowns (probably black, but maybe 1 picasso and 1 black, can I mix the two types?)
    1 Diamond goby
    1 Sixline wrasse
    1 Naso tang (baby)

I will add 1 more fish to the list, but I am not decided yet. Thanks so much for your help!!!!

Your fish list looks mostly ok, but I'd skip the tang in a 55g. Even though you buy it as a baby, it will outgrow your tank. Maybe consider a nice dwarf angel instead? Very pretty fish and lots of personality?

Anyway, otherwise the list seems pretty good. You may want to start with your clownfish, since they are the hardiest you have on your list. And allow at least 2-4 weeks between each new fish addition. Then I'd do the diamond goby next, but be sure you have a lid on your tank or else he is likely to jump out.

For the clowns, it isnt advisable to mix them from what i have heard, and since the black and Picasso are sort of similar they may not like each other. i would see if anyone else has had this combo at 55 with success. to be on the safe side i would go with two black. i currently have a clarkii and two tomatoes in a 100g and they are always friendly to each other, but with that said the entire tank is friendly to each other excluding a three stripe damsel. also if you pair your clowns there is a possibility for breeding, which is a plus.

as for the diamond goby i would beware, make sure you have a closed lid, mine jumped out the fifth night i had him =(. I see that you have no light, i would make sure you get that asap.. after the diamond commited suiside, i picked up a sleeper banded goby, whom i was told isnt a jumper, and does a great job like the diamond did.

The order of adding the fish should probably follow in the order you have listed them.

I am totally with you all on the tang in a 55 gallon issue. However, I am already planning a move to a different apartment in 10 months, and my gift to myself is going to be a 180 gal tank. That is the only reason I feel ok with a baby tang.

So anyone else on the clowns?

I agree with the tang, unless you're planning on upgrading at some point. I have a picasso clown and a normal false perc., they get along fine, but I don't know how the black ones will be. It's advised not to mix species of clowns such as maroon, clark, tomato etc.

As for what to add first. Add the most aggressive last. So the sixline or tang or angel, whatever you choose whould be last. Before that, it doesn't really matter IMO.

I would hold off on the naso until you get the 180 up. think of it as a post cycle gift to yourself.

I agree with whats said here, i would hold off on the tang, they require a lot of oxygen and a 55 is just to small even for a small naso.

I would hold off on the tang as well until the 180, you never know what curveballs life's going to throw you between now and then.

As far as the others I'm not sure it really will matter, maybe clowns, wrasse, goby. I say do the goby towards the end because they will eat stuff out of the sand and since your tank is new and you have trouble getting the fish to eat prepared food it will have a better chance of survival if your sandbed is more established.
