    Well, I'm going try ONE more time to keep a kole tang. I have tried twice before a few years apart and I don't why but they died. I like them so much so I'm trying one more time. They are such a cool tang to watch.

    I hope it does okay for you :) It might need a bigger tank, though.

    Good luck, make sure you have lots of nori and garlic juice to soak it in. Try to have a nice variety of vegetable matter for your tang.

    Will do! I also have some nice green algae on my back glass that I'm hoping he'll find. So far, so good (knock on wood)....he's swimming about with other tank mates today.....I'm going to put some nori in there right now. He's pretty small at this point. Unfortunately, I think I'm fish maxed. The only other one I want to get is a mandarin but I'm going to wait until I can take some time with it (with Vinny's suggestion - thanks Vinny!)....

    I just got another as well after mine died about 6 months ago. He hasn't come out of hiding since I got him about a week ago, but he's eating. I've read up to 3 weeks before they come out of hiding.
