yes i plan on running a skimmer, as for reactors and gfo im a little afraid of that right now, maybe when the time comes and i feel more comfortable about it i might try but i read about the crashes they can cause if your not careful and such, im trying to stay as basic as i can right now, then maybe when i feel i can progress i will try to slide one in.

    Nice plumbing.

    That being said...
It appears you have a hang-on overflow box.
It also appears that after the tee, the pcv size is reduced. It's generally not good practice to have a ball valve on your ONLY drain.
It's more safe since it is on ONE side of the tee tho...

    Just food for thought...

The ball valve is to limit the flow to my refug but I can cut it off the other side is ment to go to my skimmer portion, but I havnt got the class cut for my sump its next on, my list

    yeah.

typically with a single drain like you have, the safest option to get water to the fuge side is by ways of a small pump from the skimmer side.

    OR

Typically, folks will put a tee a few inches up from the pump on the return line and you can have the ball valve adjustment there for the fuge.

Mmm so what i can do is shut valve off I had planed on haveing my return pump teed off so I can have to return nozzels but I can reroute it so its going to my fug side. I just thought it would be easier to have it coming from the overflow

You saying that you plan to have 2 return lines to the tank?

If yes, than you can put the tee near the return pump "sideways" to that the fuge side line is coming from the 90 degree ( bottom of the tee so to speak) off the tee - then the main return line will have a straight line (straight thru the top of the tee so to speak) from the return pump. A ball valve inline on the fuge side of tee and above the tee as your main "throttle" for the gph of the pump. If using two return lines, you'll want to keep them the same length so they get the same flow. If you can't, then you'll need another ball valve on the shorter return line if you want the same flow from both returns.
