    so what you are saying is do somthing like this on the return (fyi im trying to stay away from hard plumping the return)

    now the problem is how to i keep it out of the tank, or at least out of the water so its not kicking up the sand.

    i thought it would just be easier to have it coming from the overflow box and then have a ball valve to control flow to fug then have a straight shot to fug

    Do you mean the return line into the fuge? The flow should ideally be really low so sandstorms won't pose a problem.

    ha at least it doing somthing now lol i wont know if it disturbs the sand or not until get sand in there , plan on have a 5 in dsb in the fug and 2 or less inches in the DT
