I was just on Divers Den admiring the fish the have up for sale, and couldn't believe some of the prices. Candy basslet for $900.. Wrought Iron Angelfish for 2600. I'm sure there's people out there that pay these prices, seeing as Diver's Den usually seems to move its fish fairly quickly. It got me thinking. What are some of the most expensive saltwater fish in the trade? I googled it and came up with a few names like peppermint and clipperton angelfish both of which were said to fetch at least 5 G's no problem. Crazy to think about someone spending that much money on a fish.. But hey if you have the money, I'd probably do it too haha. Of course, I think the most expensive fish title in either salt or freshwater goes to platinum arowana's, that sells for ungodly amounts of dough whenever they're auctioned.. Anyways, what are some others yall have heard of? Or maybe even have.......?

Ones like that I can't believe people would pay 5 G's for.. I mean its cool, but not 5 grand cool lol. There's another really cool one on divers den right now.. Conspicuous angelfish. That'd be something I'd buy if I was richh.

I saw some japanese angelfish selling for 90,000 if I remember correctly. Ive seen a few fish going within that ball park. All of them were for sale in Asia though.

I remember a one off angelfish caught off of Japan (not a deepwater one) that went for something in the neighborhood of $35,000 US.
