worm ID needed

    my fuge has been online for several weeks now. beside the hundreds of pods i now have these little white tubes growing EVERYWHERE in the chaeto and the glass.

    edit: they appear to be two different types of worms.... some on the glass look like pic 3 and others like pic 1 & 2

    Looks alot like vermetid snails to me.

    all the pics ive seen were red.... so i wasnt sure it was those, but they're clearly two different things between the pics right? they dont look alike up close in person

    do they start white and start browning when they get larger?

    bump - anyone else wanna chime in? theres literally hundreds of these little white things in my chaeto now

    Vermetid snails, I have white, red, brown and black ones. Some even have a mix of colors.

    I don't know about changing colors. I was just saying vermetid because the shell structure is similar and there are different sub species. I have smaller reddish brown and then 1 big type that is bluish grey. Do you see what looks like stringy stuff coming from them? or do they have a couple of hair looking things?

    so do are these things good or they are kinda just there? I assume that if they are a species of snail they clean the glass and eat algae, but any unwanted characteristics?
