    sorry for your loss! It is hard to say what happened.......that is what is so frustrating in this hobby!

    Don't give up !There are so many things that can go wrong in this hobby but that's part of the experience. You're now able to tell others about your experience with it at least.

    not saying that it was to blame in your case, but I could not keep more than one firefish... while they seem like peaceful creatures going on appearance alone, they killed each other off until I was down to one firefish. That was nearly two years ago, and I still have that one firefish.

    I read instances from both sides of the spectrum and you may very well be right. In this case, I do not think the other firefish was to blame given that the other was less than half the size of the one that died. I'm not saying it's impossible but I think it would be a stretch for a fish so small to display dominance on a fish more than twice its size.

    Yes, all of this is an experience but I wish I had known more to help. I felt a little helpless after reading the things I did and now I can't even point my finger at any one thing with any degree of certainty.

    Sorry for the loss. Its never easy to watch a fish die and feel helpless .

    Sorry for your loss... on another note i have experienced the same thing gabba is talking about, I was never able to keep more than one firefish, I always ended up with one
