NICE CATCH! - Let's go fishing!

I like your trap - great design - & looks like it works perfect.

I don't have any worms I know of - & hope I don't ever get any (even if "beneficial")

Got "bit" by some kind of tube worm when pier fishing in calif. as a youth - remember it made me quite sick. - I still "gag" when thinking about it 40+ years later.

(note: was worse then "rattler" bite I got on another fishing expedition in Eastern Wash during college days)

Boomer you really think mine are fire worms? Everyone tells me they are bristle worms.
I like the info about how to remove the bristles or the part that stings you as I would have never thought of duct tape.

    Cheers

An old RAMAR friend of mine is Mike Noren from Sweden. He is an expert on marine worms. He just got his PhD, his field is worm systematics, which is ID and clasasification . Here is something he posted long ago. Also Fire Worms are Bristle worms, so are feather dusters.

    MIke Noren's FAQ on Worms

Also try sending him the pics in the ziplock coantainer.

    Tell him I sent you.:D

    Great stuff guys.

After reading that last link, I haven't seen any problems or fire/bristtle worm activity and my tank will be two years old in May 2004. I'm betting there won't be any major problems.
